Post a forgotten boyband hit

Apparently this lot remain popular to this day in Australia. I remember this one quite well - it's the most ludicrously shameless N'sync rip-off, but quite convincingly done...

You're all going way too high profile. This thread is for the DREGS :D

Case in point THIS load of old rope! I can only assume poor keyboard boy was some record exec's son. There is literally no other explanation.

I remember they had a CBBC sitcom as well - I sort of respected that they had a 'normal' looking nerdy one, though not enough to buy the single :tongueout:

We posted it at the same time!

Edit: or at least it wasn’t there when I was about to post it.

I think they were more popular in the Nordics and Asia-Pacific countries than the rest of Europe? Always had a soft spot for this one of theirs:

Years later finding out it is a remake and rewrite of that Danish potential Eurovision entry hasn't changed my opinion. :D

I absolutely ADORE this song, shamelessness never sounded this good

Not only are they still popular here, they carved out a career in Las Vegas and have been performing there for a decade :o

As GLOOPY as this is I always thought it was sung beautifully and probably the first time I gave them a break and thought OKAY YES YOU CAN SING

N*Sync were so strange because they're probably the only boy band where the pretty ones are the best singers. What's the point of the other 3? They could have just been a duo.

*NSYNC's loyalty to Chris Kirkpatrick is sort of admirable, he founded the group but was pushing 30 by the time they were having major success, and... obviously didn't quite have that classic boyband look

I can't help but feel if it was a girl group they would've been pressured to get rid quicker than the Dixie Chicks had to dump their original lead singer (who was in her 40s)

Came in here with a few names on my mind, only to see their other releases were posted - V8 in particular

I love a classical sample in a pop song - even if probably most of the fans thought it was an Apprentice sample

I wish Phixx had gotten a bit more mileage, even though from the jump there was a whiff of desperation with the bad boy one getting his arse out (but only for S&M so it’s ok). They got my gay gaze for sure.

but this should’ve been a hit
The model looking one has a nice voice, what were the others for?

Also this is one of the best songs of the 90s in general and I will physically fight anyone who alleges different:

not sure if it’s one of the best 90s songs but definitely one of the MOST 90s songs and gives me warm fuzzies of nostalgia just thinking about it
