UK: The Alexander Boris de Pfeffel Johnson years - problematic + infected + broke the law + electoral poison + sneks + not very good + OVER (funny)

Here for the petrol and food shortages. I hope you girls are all reminding everyone vaguely Brexity "You knew what you were voting for!"

It’s pointless work though because they all blame it on COVID

Some people definitely like to double-down (when the chips are down) that is for certain.

There are aspects which are not linked to Brexit for sure (wholesale gas prices is a global issue) but almost every other issue we are contending with is either a mixture of Brexit (the logistics bottleneck) or long-term poor state planning (like the negligible amount of offshore gas storage the UK has - which is incredible for a gas producing state).

I keep reading gammony comments on Facebook like "there are shortages all over Europe". Cut to me dowsing myself in excess petrol and then wiping myself down with abundant supplies of Monop loo roll.

Having just returned from Europe I can confirm the shelves are full stocked and people and spraying diesel about like its champagne.

Some of the gammony comments I've seen in regards to the rising gas prices:

"Just PUT ANOTHER JUMPER ON!"
"The focus should be more on not wasting energy instead of complaining about the cost."
"Don't put the heating on and put layers of clothing on instead"

Problem SOLVED guys! :disco: As an entire nation let's just sit back (in another jumper), pour our income into large corporations, and ACCEPT whatever shit is slung at us!

Don’t forget - ‘No petrol?!!! What a convenient way to get us all into electric cars!’

Exactly the same people kicking off about XR and Insulate Britain.

I hope despite the shortages I can still add to my DELUXE SPICE RACK.

QUEUES and MAD SCENES in the petrol station opposite my workplace today.

People are getting proper antsy. I'm just wondering what it would take for the gammons to revolt...it must be power cuts. I COULDN'T WATCH TOP GEAR ON DAVE LAST NIGHT! HANG JOHNSON!!!

I hope it's heating that pushes them over the edge because the idea of gammon turning into a cold meat buffet is just a bit too good.

The mental gymnastics Brexiters will engage in to spin any Brexit losses is truly... world-beating. Brexit could kill their children and they'd tell you "well the world is overpopulated (mostly by migrants remix)"

You'd think the increase in fuel charges would be enough to start the revolt. But there's still hardly any connection between all these issues and Brexit being made by the media.

It's fascinating how much Boris gets away with. Every other leader I can think of in my living memory were hung drawn and quartered for a lot less.

I drive an electric car and I live on the top floor so hardly ever bother with heating so all of this is working out SPLENDIDLY for me so far :D

And as for the world imploding and the gammons all having a breakdown, well, Patsy said it best...
