The Queen DEAD...Tired

I find all the Queen death stuff so morbid. There's entire tribute newspapers, documentaries, columns and articles all written ready to go when she does.

Mind you, it'll be great PR for the UK for a good year. The funeral, the coronation, all the Royal Family SPECULATION that the tabloids will just make up to make it interesting...

Have you watched it the last few years?

I'd be relieved.

Haven't watched it in about ten years :D

But it's TRADITION to have it on in the background / on mute while you open presents or eat dinner, and moan that you haven't heard of half the acts.

I can't think of many ways beyond the look of currency and stamps that will actively change our lives.

Charles will inevitably be way less popular than her, that's inevitable. William will probably be a relatively popular monarch, preventing any immediate collapse.
GOD SAVE THE KING before England games

“I’M WAITING.”

I can't believe we don't get a proper day off when she dies. That's pish. What are we paying for, exactly?

Oh Johnson would absolutely make a meal of it all :manson:

The Queen DEAD... disappointed to miss the Remembrance Sunday service at the cenotaph because she's sprained her back :(

She’s totally on her way out if they can’t even jack her up to do the Cenotaph.

They should put her in a cage to keep her up straight with a big fur around it like they did with Evita :disco:

Didn’t her stuffed corpse get shagged by necrophiliacs or have I just made that up?

I can see her carking it on Christmas Day..

Suppose it means we won’t have to endure Mrs Browns Boys at least.

I was going to say Christmas Eve so that the right wing can shout at the BBC for broadcasting her speech or not broadcasting her speech or whatever they do because they can't win with these dickheads.

On November 22, 1955, Evita’s corpse was assigned a guardian, Colonel Carlos Eugenio de Moori Koenig. His duty was to protect the corpse and keep it hidden from revolutionaries. These, however, were not the instructions he decided to follow. It is argued that he stole the corpse from the CGT and took her to his private office. There, Moori kept Evita as a trophy. Often, he invited guests and showed them that she was in his possession. More disturbing than his garish display of Evita’s corpse were the sexual acts Moori Koenig engaged in with Eva Perón’s corpse.

I don’t wish her death or anything, but in the Christmas message, if she suddenly stops mid sentence and collapses wide-eyed out of shot, the words “To be continued…?” appearing as it fades to black

I’d watch that. We’d have to wait until New Year to find out, like eastenders
