A relatively normal Australian hard court swing this year with the Australian Open due to start in two weeks time.

Samantha Stosur has announced her singles retirement after the Australian Open and doubles retirement at the end of the year, this was, mystifyingly, enough to warrant a singles wildcard.

Haha. Covid Betty messed up his Australian visa applications and has been denied entry into the country. :D

Can @cwej bring back Cunt of the Month please?

Fucking brilliant. BYE FELICIA

it does seem a bit like “let’s give him a visa cos we can’t be arsed being consistent, oh no wait the public/media have dared to question it, now we need to back out” messy nonsense

Which frankly I expect from the U.K., but expect better from Australia…

Man oh man he has fucked this situation so badly.

On court... he is a beast though and I want him to fuck me hard on the night of winning a Grand Slam final. I just feel he'd be all RAAAAAAAAAR in bed like he is on court.

Well I can’t wait for this to appear on an episode of Nothing to Declare.

I hope he was patted down and drug swabbed, the works etc. :disco:

So the Victoria state gave him the permission to be there and to play in the tournament, but he failed the federal entry requirements to get into Australia in the first place? Delicious :D

There's a hearing on Monday to see if they can drum up the paperwork explaining why he can't be vaccinated. It didn't sound too hopeful this morning :eyes:

I've heard a few reports on the radio this morning, and it sounds like public opinion is overwhelmingly against him. It's almost enough to make me want them to let him in just to see and hear the reaction he may get.

I’m starting to hope he wins the AO for the drama of it.

Apparently failing to fill the forms in correctly could result in him being banned from entering Australia for 3 years! :D :o

I hope he enjoys the jet lag

Is it true that Nadal tweeted something along the lines of “you reap what you sow” :D

Yeah, he isn't popular among the decent and slightly more grounded people.

He's become more and more controversial as the years went by but until 2019-2020 he was just the successful panto-villain anti-hero to Roger and Rafa. In the past 2 years, he really has descended to new lows very quickly.

So no wonder that Zverev and Djokovic have each other's backs and keep saying they have "nothing but respect" for each other. <3

OMG imagine having the GALL with that ranking, but this celebration is to die for :disco:

I really like the Broady's, Naomi seems to be living her best life on Instagram after seemingly stopping playing and Liam is very slowly working his way up the rankings. It's nice they made him captain. :)

I’ve also really liked her commentary style - nice technical observations and makes little asides about what people’s wives are wearing.

Naomi is a great commentator yes - and yes to the personal comments she makes.

I also hate the way the LTA treated her for having the CHEEK to go for a pint with some mates in about 2005... like GET A GRIP.

And I love Liam too. Shame he never quite got where his potential showed he should get (Wimbledon boy's finalist) - but he seems to be making up for it a bit now. Oddly his and Naomi's career trajectories very very similar. Think he'll squeak into top 100 like she did briefly as well.

So the reasons given for exemption are that he supposedly tested positive for Covid on a PCR test on 16th December.....yet was seen maskless and NOT socially distancing (let alone self isolating) at an event on the 17th. :D

Oh dear.

I can't think of a bigger DICKHEAD in the world of sport at the moment (save perhaps for his "buddy" Zverev).
