UK: The Alexander Boris de Pfeffel Johnson years - problematic + infected + broke the law + electoral poison + sneks + not very good + OVER (funny)

Just wondering, not watched it in years because the public drive me up the wall so much, but is Question Time a bit more bearable at the moment with most of the public out for Johnson's blood? I think I could get on board with an hour of everyone calling for his resignation.

Not whilst Fiona Bruce is chair, it isn't.

Yesterday Douglas Ross stated that Johnson couldn't rule out that there wouldn't be more revelations to come when they spoke.

I'd love to know what all those Cabinet Ministers are thinking after spending the day trying to spin his non-apology.
I imagine they'll all be too shitfaced from the urgent work meetings they attended this afternoon.

The thing is with parties there's a lot of people to sack or to resign before you get to the pillsbury doughboy.

I know a decent number of people (anecdotal I know, but I used to work for this lot :D) who are considering voting Labour for the first time.

And it isn’t just because of this, it’s a sense that there is nothing left of a moderate centre-right party remaining right now. Something I would definitely agree with. Nothing captures it better than Brexit - if you voted Remain, you don’t just have a difference of opinion, you’re an enemy.

They went full flag-shagger to try and stave off splitting the party but their success in doing so has come at the price of constantly appeasing the far-right. That had to collapse at some stage.
Especially since the die hard far right are a minority and the majority of voters who were aligned to it were purely in it for Brexit.

Sue Grey’s investigation is 100% going to be 'EVERYTHING’S FINE NOTHING TO SEE HERE’ though, isn’t it?

They wouldn’t be wheeling that line out so much if they thought she was actually going to do anything.

Either that or she's going to have a tussle with a white Fiat Uno in a tunnel.

I’m no monarchist but the absurdity of his actions requiring him to apologise to the queen but not constituting an offence that requires a resignation? Utterly shameless!

He probably apologised for not inviting her.

Yeah, Boris is still in hiding until mid next week, and after that it'll just be 'wait for Sue Grey'.

It seems like the momentum for a motion of no confidence died as quickly as it appeared. Nobody else wants the job while COVID is still fucking things up.

They're probably running scared of Boris. If it's not an absolute cert to get over the line, then Boris may very well remove the whip for anyone who puts a letter in. He's done it for less.

I guess they might be worried about losing the vote of no confidence now and then not being able to do it again when they get a kicking at the local elections.

That really is tough listening. :(
It’s the kind of thing that really drives home that this isn’t just about Tories having parties, it’s people who had to make horrible decisions to ensure the rules were followed who now feel like monsters for it. What sort of fucking leadership is that? And that withered CUNT Rees-Mogg has the brass neck to throw them all under the bus by saying we’d been too strict in the first place. We’ve got actual evil running the country.
