Texas Elementary School Shooting

Everything about this is just grim. The shooting itself and how it's become such a day ends with y part of the news in the US.
 
Ted Cruz would rather have a society where people are afraid to keep their doors unlocked than have a society free of the main reason people are afraid to keep their doors unlocked.

The stupidity is unfathomable.

it’s not stupidity, it’s GREED. He is paid by the rifle lobby to protect their business, that’s all. He doesn’t give a shit about anything else. In any other country this is called corruption , in the US it’s simply called business
 
Parents being handcuffed whilst the gunman was in the school is a WTF moment - presumably they were trying to go in themselves in lieu of the police (and who can blame them)?

I thought the solution was to arm everyone? :bad: So even if there was a parent with a gun, or the FUCKING POLICE, they can’t/won’t go in.
 
The way this has been handled by the police is absolutely insane, to the point that it honestly feels like there's still stuff they're not being honest about.

Only just catching up on this. Were they STUPID? SCARED? Either way they let a load of children die.

We did lockdown procedure a few weeks. It was only about 20 mins, but super creepy. I can't even imagine knowing there were police in the next room and on the line.

It doesn't even need shredded. They always intended it to be a living document that got updated with the times!

The first ten came out the same time (including right to bear arms). No slavery, ensuring women's right to vote, etc. all came later. Priorities were clear!

To be fair to them, they even put in the context for the amendment in the amendment - a well-regulated militia. The courts steadfastly ignore the context and focus on the second half in blind isolation.

But yes, the amendment was silly by the early twentieth century.
 
Supreme Court effectively expands the interpretation of second amendment rights, removing much scope of restrictions. It’s pretty much “shall not be infringed” from now on.
