Actual small issue - on mobile (portrait), I'm now having the full Moopy banner appear for about half a second when reloading or visiting a new page.

I have the same, I can try and see if there is a setting that sorts it, but it might be the price we pay for being on cloudflare.

Good news though, after having hourly database crashes for a few days, we have been clear since 3am so the early indicators are that my changes have fixed whatever it was that was causing it. I will continue to monitor things of course.
 
Another thing, didn’t we used to have the page numbers at the top and bottom of the page? Now it’s only on the bottom.
 
I keep getting randomly logged out whilst supposedly being logged in and I want to make a snide comment in the Madonna survivor thread :(

Maybe it’s time for a PET
 
Login issues tend to be cache and cookie related, especially as I had to change these settings earlier in the week, so clear them out if the issue comes up again.

Can we not have a function to delete our own posts enabled? I really do feel like I've just fallen into a troll trap replying to a thread without realising who started it and I'm just in no mood for that ah shucks you guys crap - it's so obvious. I've had it.

If you ignore a poster you shouldn't see threads they start.

On deleting posts, we've discussed before and we think the current setup is best for moderation.
 
I'm not always logged in, can click on a seemingly innocuous thread (and that's their entire troll technique I'd say - nothing does not have this subtle, bland but sneering slant to it) and it was too late. It's gone on long enough for it to not be picked up on by others - even a former poster said to me it was "expert trolling" when I asked if it were them. Anyway, I posted my peice.
 
Yes very much so. Loads of Bad Gateway errors and pages refusing to reload.
 
I'll keep an eye on things today and if anyone else is having issues then post here, but I'm hoping it was just something to do with the site being unusually active when the backup was being taken which I think happens just after midnight
 
The What's New menu is being weird. When I click on it, it logs me out. When I go to log in, it tells me I'm already logged in and to return the previous page.

Every other page keeps me logged in - all the forums, New Posts, Members pages, etc. Just the What's New link...

Can a moopy mod please stop my restrictions now? I know Giraffe wants me dead but this has been going on since June and I think 4 months is a long time to be putting up with this. I've been as good as gold and a bit of leeway is due I think

This post prompted me to have a little look in the BACKEND :ken:

Something is blocking our emails from being sent out, I think gmail security settings but I am not 100% sure yet, which means I'll need to have a proper sit down and figure it out. For now, I have disabled users needing email confirmation to sign up, which may lead to an increase in spammers making it through registration. So @Moderator's may have a bit more banning to do in the short term until I can fix emails properly.

Currently going through the logs to see if any users have been caught by this and approving their registration.
 
It would have been reopened already but there's a bit going on behind the scenes. Not to do with anyone's conduct, just requests from posters in that thread which mean there's a bit of work to be done before it gets reopened.

I think email is properly fixed now.
