I watched La Piscine this year and thought he was so beautiful. But I guess not a great person. RIP?

I didn't realise he was such a prick until reading all the obits today. What a shame. And what is it with so many members of French acting royalty holding questionable views, mm.

Anyway, he wasn't a great actor imo (though he gave one legit great perf in Monsieur Klein), but the camera absolutely loved him and he starred in three of my fave films ever (Rocco and His Brothers, L'Eclisse, and The Leopard). And he's on the cover of The Queen Is Dead! About as iconic as one can get.

But yeah, good riddance all things considered I suppose.
