Alanis Morissette - Supposed Former Infatuation Junkie sync listen (1 Viewer)

Baba was well ahead of its time since this kind of SPIRITUAL CON has only gotten more and more prevalent.

'Baba' goes quite HARD.

God it does.

My friends at school used to listen to a lot of HEAVY RAP while I listened to my SFIJ. One wanted to hear what I was listening to one day so I put Baba on and turned it up to full volume. He patiently listened but his only comment was "Where the swearing?"

What has providence ever done for ME?

The first time I ever heard Thank U was during that iconic top 40 chart where all the top 5 were new entries (and Believe was no. 1 :disco:) I was already aware of songs like Ironic and Hand in my Pocket and knew I liked them, but I really got FEELS to Thank U and I discovered her slowly thereafter. I still get those FEELS to this day.

I recorded it on a cassette when it first aired on the radio and most played it over and over and over. And then when it was released I forced my mum to buy it.

I'm quite SURPRISED this song was part of that top 5 - it doesn't sound like a hit even in '98!

She was coming off the commercial juggernaught that was JLP. She could have released anything and it would have done well.
