Speaking of National Final live tragedies, a performance for the ages. :o / :disco:


Apparently she wasn't even singing the actual lyrics of the song and was making things up on the spot. :D

She came last with 1% of the televote. POOR LOVE. :(

Wow there’s quite a DIFFERENCE from the studio version. That’s a disaster of a performance. :(

According to an interview, the performance is dedicated to the deceased father, maybe emotions were high? :(

She also said she could sing fine, but she knew she would lose with the favorite anyway, so she did not want to sing perfectly.

Even that lady in Moldova who had but a week to learn the lyrics of her song found a way to perform "all the melody or lyrics that [they] have written". :D

She apparently did it on purpose to boicot her own performance :D... according the songwriters. THE DRAMA :disco:

Lidia Kopania breaks the silence after a nightmarish performance on TVP​

The ringleader of all the commotion herself stated that her performance was supposed to look like this and that everything went according to what she had planned.

Lidia Kopania was asked about her performance, incl. by the reporter Jastrząb Post. "[The performance] was supposed to be like this. I wanted to interpret the piece in a different way and I think I did it," (:D:D:D) she commented.

Naturally I now can't stop thinking about this bizarre fiasco :disco:
 
Btw the songwriters of her song are those Swedish twins that have had easily 50 songs in national finals in lots of countries over the last decade, they must send literally thousands of songs every year to get a few of them in. I mean, their songs are the perfect filler for any random preselection, inoffensive dull songs that go nowhere and won't trouble the hot favourites. They look evil, I need to know more about them.

they're very much two different people at least, though the same level of "vocal talent":

the one on the left seems to be the dominant twin (or so they claim to be)

Which is literally what did when Lidia's song for the 2020 Polish selection got booted in the selection process. :D They just handed it over to some random peasant in Moldova. :D :disco:


 
Speaking of the Swedish twins, there was some controversy in Georgia where they charged some girl's parents entering their daughter to make a song for her for the National Final for Junior Eurovision in 2017 to the sum of 300 euros...

and then gave THE EXACT SAME SONG to another artist in the Georgian National Final for (adult) Eurovision :D
 
Well this thread turned SURREAL and WICKED very quickly, and I’m not blaming our new mysterious member, but let’s be honest, they do seem to REVEL IN IT.

Their entries tend to be average to subpar beige I find but I'm fascinated with THIS UTTER CHEAP TAT STRAIGHT OUT OF 90S BANGER they somehow came up with. :D/:disco:
 
Well this is EASILY my favourite ESC news story of the season. The sick-looking twins who supposedly aren’t! Handing over songs to peasants! Lidia singing the song appallingly on purpose! That performance of theirs which looks like QUITE A GOOD NIGHT OUT!
