I'm so happy for Nicole Ari Parker Kodjoe. She was fantastic in one of my all time favourite films 200 Cigarettes.

I am enjoying this but I am a bit bored of the lack of the 3 leads together - it seems to be separate storylines, with each of them accompanied by their new buddy, and minimal interaction between just Carrie, Charlotte and Miranda without somebody else shoe-horned in to make up the numbers.

I think the sole purpose of the whole episode was to introduce this "glimmer of hope" in Carrie's life.
And I felt sorry for Miranda overall.

Che really rubs me the wrong way (unlike how they rubbed Miranda etc.)

They have this overbearing "I'm so funny and charming and intriguing" energy when actually I don't find them ANY OF THOSE THINGS

Yeah, same here. I don't get the appeal.

I thought exactly the same when watching the last episode - they give the impression of somebody way too pleased with themselves.

I don't really have sympathy for Miranda talking about Steve like that (or rather think that the stage has came to actually communicate with him here). I appreciate what she's going through, but at what point is it okay not to be telling him any of this? I did smirk when she turned around away from him as I just assumed imagining he was someone else would have done the trick - I know it often did for me with my last one.

The appeal of the unfunny stand up is that they are a "stud" like figure I'm guessing. They're certainly very attractive, confident and the "you're in love with yourself with me" reply I thought was actually quite lovely. Good god no more routines from them though.

Before I get started on episode 8 (cannot believe it's got this far already), just to say that I expected Carrie to tell that insincere publisher where to go with her "no pressure" passive aggression.
