I believe so, her most recent programme aired on the 9th January.

Aww that’s sad. I met her once when she was giving a talk about her career and signing her book. She was decent craic based on that evening.

That's a sad one. The request show on Sunday night after the charts was essential listening. The internet rendered it obsolete because people can now hear a song any time they like but it was an amazing show for discovering things. A weird novelty requested once could have legs for months (i.e. Fishheads by Barnes and Barnes) and you could hear an older song by an artist that otherwise wouldn't touch the airwaves.

She was great presenting the Old Grey Whistle Test too.

Just seen it on FB and assumed it was clickbait. Can only echo the age comments.

The age thing didn't particularly surprise me at all. I certainly would have guessed she was 80+. But I guess when you're older and have more memory of her being around in your (distant) childhood, perhaps you get more of a sense of it.
