This is my first listen As well. Bois Lie is very catchy
 
the first verse of Bois Lie reminds me so much of "better YET make your boyfriend DISAPPEAR"

the chorus is a total DREAM. this bitch makes such great pop music. I actually love MGK on it too.

I really LOVE the verses and bridge of Bite Me and see why it was the lead single but the chorus hook is really a bit shrill for me...

Love It When You Hate Me has grown on me a lot. It feels so early 2000s. I want to listen to this at a pool
 
I LOVE that the almost acapella first lyric on Love It When You Hate Me is "I'm a LUSH" :D :disco:

"Love it When You Hate Me" is the weaker of the singles but I can see where they were going with it. It's just a bit juvenile even for our Avs.

It’s hard to rate a series of songs that all sound exactly the same but I like it so far
 
she leaned into REALLY HARD to pop-punk across a whole album for first time really. it's an adjustment from the more chill last three albums but I'm VERY MUCH INTO IT!

this album also passed the soundtrack to a sunny spring day test so naturally I proper love it now

the way Avalanche starts a tiny bit more mellow and then grows into something quite uptempo is really good. I bet she wishes she had these producers for the first two albums.

LOVE that she always makes albums with her BOYFRIEND OR HUSBAND whomever that may be :disco:

It’s passing the “listening to it at my parents house in the suburbs” test, which is important for an authentic Avril experience
 
"Avalanche" is a more serious artiste angle and I'm digging it.

F.U. seems to be well liked but it's not doing THAT much for me. I think it's one of the last songs she made for the album a few months back. a DECENT FILLER but maybe too JUVENILE!

When you make a sophisticated adult album like this, an immature song really sticks out
 
All I Wanted is just such a THROWBACK. this album makes me wonder how she ever ended up recording Hello Kitty tbh. the FUN is LEGIT.
