This is one on GL I've never really felt strongly about. Probably couldn't hum it.

I think it got her SUED by Sarah Mclachlan who had written a different (presumably miserable) song called Contagious with her for the second album.

Weirdly Avril Lavigne seemed more out of date in 2011 than she does today. She didn't fit in with the electro-pop/EDM era, but Billie Eillish (and others) who are popular now were probably inspired by her

I only discovered Mobile this year but it is my favorite Avril song. The chorus is KILLER. I thought she was saying she was "immobile" in the chorus, which I just discovered she is not.

all of the singles from the debut deserved to be one but they could definitely have squeezed in a fifth for Mobile. it sounds like an easy smash.

weirdly this sound is kind of coming back in, between some tracks from Miley's and Halsey's latest records. I can see it making a full-blown revival once disco is done.
