Harry has become increasingly snappy and stroppy.

Billy and Bonny for me. They didn't show much if any of them in the preview for next week though, which was odd.

Caught up. Still hoping for Mel and Helene. I didn't see how far they are behind but obviously anything can happen on the final leg, and when they manage to get the same train, they can work together well and be up there :disco:
 
I think they were about seven hours behind - definitely not insurmountable!
 
What do we think happened when Mel and Helene got separated? The editing felt a little shifty.
 
I think it was a genuine mix-up, and the production probably only have one camera person with the teams while they're travelling and they happened to be with Helene while it all happened. I do think the contestants probably have an emergency (non-smart) phone for production to contact them in situations like this, so they could both get off at a particular stop and meet up again.

Yes but the fact they spent SO MUCH on that train and they have to head through hideously expensive Denmark, Sweden and Norway I really don't fancy their chances :D
 
Maybe they'll take on a mysteriously high paying job, offered by people who look like the production staff wearing bad wigs :o
 
Did they say/show how far behind Mel & Helene were? They tried to imply with the editing it wasn’t long but realistically I think it must’ve been :D

Right!? I thought they had spent all their money, do we think production paid?

I remember in the regular series (2?) the two douchey guys didn’t have enough to get up to the final checkpoint up an observatory tower and threw a strop (until another team came down and paid for them).

The ferry job didn't have the same vibe as the other jobs on this show do, so I did wonder if that had been a last minute arrangement by production to get them over :D the actual employee kept looking nervously at them as well!

The way they sauntered to the book made it look like they knew it was over already but then they all came in as a group at the end made me think they weren’t too far behind. If they had run out of money and were dead last anyway I would have thought production would have nudged Alex and Noel to go and give them the cash and it would have made a Nice Moment.
 
I’m confused where Mel and Helenes bus came from though as he was pretty adamant there wasn’t one that day.

Do we think production paid for a tour bus to turn up and filled it with loads of extras and a fun for Europe tour guide?
 
You should watch anyway! It was still a great episode.

    1. Alex and Noel
    2. Harry and Emma (literally a couple of minutes behind, all four got to the last destination at the same time)
    3. Mel and Helene (who knows how much later :eyes:)
