seems to be on the way soon. she's been working with Gesaffelstein, her boyfriend George Daniel of the 1975, AG Cook and presumably various others...

obsessed with this new serve. and very ready for new Charli baby.

she's still a low key Rina hater but Charli can't be cancelled, she gives too much value to the gays

first single is apparently called Von Dutch and seems to be about 2-4 weeks away.

she played a Boiler Room dj set and clips of the new material are sounding HOT

extremely clubby. Spring Breakers :disco: the album might be called Club Classics which I personally would LOVE

Her t-shirt said "Cult Classics" but others are claiming the large "PARTY GIRL" banners were the album title being "dropped".

Given that she's been teasing this single for about a month, I'm expecting an album announcement and preorder on Thursday as well...or at least, not long after.

1) don't be such a snob
I'm just looking for some SIGN of GROWTH! she seems very stuck creatively. we know you have braindead friends who love popping 2CB but get past this PARTY GRRRRL obsession please Charli.

If "growth" means "stop making bangers" then fuck off. If "growth" means "stop writing the same lyrics over and over again", then we'll talk. The writing on Charli and HIFN showed a real maturity whilst still being absolutely pop songs. That she can dip into different modes is a plus. What do you want? An acoustic singer/songwriter album? Bite me.

Besides, 30 is the new 21, 40 is the new 30 etc etc.

who said growth means no bangers? :D you plucked that out of nowhere.

I feel she is very unsure of herself as an artist and defaults to songs about partying when she's not sure where else to go. it can be tiring that despite talking the big talk and every album being "my best album so far!" she doesn't show the ambition to really try new things very often.

additionally all of her "bangers" on the Von Dutch end of the scale these days have super processed, monotone vocals that can be quite off putting. I miss hearing her use the full range of her voice as she did between True Romance and Pop2.

I think she's stuck creatively but it's her own doing, I suspect it's the label's fault; they want her to keep farting out the party songs cause no one else is doing it. We know the rest of the girls are perhaps doing something much upbeat but Charli has that distinctive trademark of feeling low-brow, and I'm here for it. Let that artistic growth sit with someone else, she's got nothing to lose, it's not like her singles ca backfire like Dua's :(

Perhaps. She definitely went into a very specific style on Crash that wasn't as appealing to me as the more experimental 'Charli' or 'Pop 2' and I was hoping that we weren't getting Crash 2, which it now sounds like we might be. Let's SEE. Side 4 of Charli was pretty bonkers so it might not be a one-shot record.

Avril Lavigne's lawyers will be contacting Charli for stealing her act with that album title.

Picture disc "sold out" already. If it's not out until July/August they could press as many as they like. Troll era, incoming.

surprisingly this is top of new music friday US above some much bigger names. I love the production and obviously the video is a SMASH! the song may need to grow

It's fucking brilliant. I was actually laughing watching the video last night. 7" available for a mere £12.99. :)

Yeah, this is not for me.

I used to be a big fan but I think I’ve just moved past it all.

:(
