CHER: THE MEMOIR (Volume 1) (1 Viewer)

I haven’t bothered with this as I assume it’s all the boring childhood, growing up, early years stuff so intend to come in on volume 2 which I hope has the stuff I’m interested in.

Pretty much, the first 1/4 is more of an memoir of her mother and the book ends around 1982 teasing Hollywood career Cher to come.

Anything on Ms. Ross and Bette Midler falling out with her after having drag queens impersonate them for her Vegas show? I'll have to try and listen to some chapters... it's not like the 70s were boring for her, but I just don't think she can be arsed to get into much detail beyond what suits her.

She mentions the drag queens but only raves about how fantastic they were and well received by the audience.

Yes at times it's very "So the car smelled off cigarettes and the seats were leather" and then you get a summary of music like "I released 3 albums in quick succession and I didn't care much about them. Anyway (paragraph about a girlfriend's kitchen)".
