Midweek #2!
She's probably more at risk from The Weeknd about 500 behind again, but I suspect she may cling on.She's at #2 and likely to stay there given the nearly 3k sales gap between her and Alice Cooper at #3
…and out of the top 100 in week two
It is #10 on sales though, for whatever that’s worth.
I've seen lots of cheap/free offers for it as well. I was slightly confused by what type of show it was supposed to be, but not curious enough to apply for a ticket.Has anyone been paying attention to what an UNMITIGATED DISASTER Claire's current project, the touring show "Everybody Dance" is turning into? There's been free ticket offers around for most dates for ages, my local theatre which has a capacity of around 1000 I would guess was maybe half full in the stalls, the circle probably a quarter at best, the upper circle completely empty, so they can't have sold more than a couple of hundred tickets and now they've just cancelled the Brighton date which has been free ticketed for weeks.
We went on an aforementioned free ticket and, to be fair, it's FAIRLY dreadful. We enjoyed it for what it was, but it is SO cheap. Terrible, plasticy stage, dancers not quite in time with each other most of the time and she seemed fairly miserable throughout, though she perked up towards the end. There were LOTS of missed cues and costume changes that didn't quite come off in time and though she has a great voice and handles the pop numbers really well, tackling soul-ly disco stuff usually handled by the likes of Donna Summer just showed that she didn't really have it in her. The costumes themselves were basically a variation on the same thing but in different colours and NONE of them did her any favours whatsoever. There were also long periods where she wasn't even on stage and the backing singers had a bash and considering the male singer wasn't THAT good, it wasn't great. The audience was mostly older than me, yet things like Dua Lipa and The Weeknd, which seemed to make something of a mockery of the "greatest dance hits of all time" label. Especially as choosing Houdini stretched that definition to the limit.
As much as I am not one for taking glee in our stars earning some coin when they need to, it felt all a bit tragic for someone in one of the UK's bigger touring bands. But then I guess the fact that even I couldn't be arsed paying for a ticket to see one of my favourite bands' "lead" singer at the bottom of my road says it all.
Claire Richards (1977-Present) would cover all bases! The way the title of this topic was never updated outside of “Album 2”![]()
I’m not sure it strictly is a tour of this album, and she has the same management as Steps.I had entirely forgotten she was even touring this album until I started seeing posts on twitter this week about how abysmal the show was.
She really needs better management.
Also, she clearly realises she’s in a dud. She’d performing with obvious gritted teeth throughout.
Isn’t that fairly standard for Claire though?
