Geri Halliwell is engaged to a rich Italian shipping tycoon who she has been dating for just three weeks.

The former Spice Girl announced her engagement to Fabrizio Politi last night in a statement through her management firm 19.
 
Not that I doubt Geri's complete cynicism, but isn't she rich enough? They all must be LOADED after the tour...
 
Their finances have always interested me

They must have made shitloads 1996-98 and lived off it till last year, but they couldn't have made much until the tour (and that will run out in a bit)
 
They're still of a high enough profile to charge thousands for solo PAs and corporate gigs, even if the record sales are awful.

They all own fabulous properties. Basically they'll never go hungry.
 
Posh is obviously the richest but I'd be interested in the order after that.

I reckon...

1. Victoria
2. Emma (Seems sensible with her cash, plus does a fair bit of TV work)
3. Geri (How much money did the Eugenia Lavender stuff make her? Didn't they sell really well? Don't know how, I have NEVER seen them in a bookshop except when i specifically searched)
4. Mel B (Did she get her millions from Eddie Murphy?)
4. Mel C (Red Girl Records must have drained the coffers a fair bit :D )

5. Emma (yes she does TV work but only the odd bit and she has to support Jade - okay so he's a chef now but it's hardly gonna be bringing in the big bucks)

None of their solo albums have ever turned a real profit, except possibly for Northern Star.
 
Actually when Geri gets married she could be competing with Victoria, depending on this shipping tycooon's wealth...

It used to be Mel B, the house you saw in Cribs was a huge financial drain. But she sold that.

To be fair, I would imagine Emma lives far more "frugally" than Geri, who has probably spunked a WHOLE LOT of her money up the wall...

Lets not forget Geri Yoga, 2 huge selling autobiographies, the ugenia contract would have been worth millions.

Her paycheque for Popstars The Rivals was probably more than anything Emma has got outside the spice girls!

No, she was BORN to be a cheap HOOKER with no discernible talent or interest but unfortunately, the climate of the 90s seemed to allow such people to become celebrities...
 
I may be wrong but I thought I read somewhere that Emma had invested a fair bit in property. Although in todays market that could mean she's the most fucked. :D

She seems to be sensible spice, I wouldn't be surprised if she'd done some wise investments rather than just living la dolce vita like Mel Beh. :D

Oh CONGRATULATIONS Geri! What marvellous news, I hope the wedding gets filmed for a documentary.

3 weeks isn't that terrible really, I'm sure it will be a long engagement (nothing til early February).
 
Are they still together. If so that would make it 6 weeks - Geri's longest ever relationship.
