Giving it a very caveated yes in that I'm frankly a bit exhausted by it and how formulaic it is these days (to say nothing of how overwhelming all the constant vs the World/All Stars with just one actual star formats are now), but the UK version does, for all its sins and weaknesses, still feel like somewhat appointment viewing.

My only criticism is that it's become overproduced. But overall, it still showcases drag talent quite well.

I'm a comparative nibbler these days. I've not seen the last US mainline and am only up to date on the UK, Australian and Canadian spin-off branches. I think the format can be [whitney]some times[/whitney] so stale and editing damn right insulting that I'm convinced the entire thing is ripe for being replaced at some point.

I do think we're starting to get close to a point where Ru should retire and a rotating cast of queens come in and shake the franchise/format up a little bit.

I was hardcore the first 11 seasons or so. I’ve enjoyed many of the spin off seasons as well but at this point there’s just so many Queens on screen at one time it’s lost its shine for me

Now mind you I’m happy as hell it is the juggernaut that it is for the gay/queer community but I honestly don’t know who is who anymore when I’m trying to juggle 3 or 4 seasons at a time.

I do.

It annoys me a lot but then a positively great season like the last UK one will come around and I'll realise that it can be almost as good as ever with the right cast and effort.

It’s very much part of the furniture and still delivers amazing seasons now and again. It does need SOME sort of shake-up as the format is getting stale and the producers either LAZY or just over-worked from the relentless churn of seasons.

Giving each new season to a new queen to host would be a great start, but I can’t see Ru ever stepping away, he seems like a work-a-holic.

I gave up on it about two years ago. It's the same old sanitised shite every series. Talk about lost edge.

That's why some of the international franchises have come as such a breath of fresh air.

She really needs to take her claws off UK and Down Under.

The contestants are still good and I think that plenty of the talent still shines through quite well. But it's the technical things that just make it a slog to watch sometimes.
