After hearing all the qualifers and then seeing the spot she got in the running order (as well as knowing she came second by one point last year to a significantly stronger Mamas track), I'd kind of accepted she'd be the winner to be honest. Quite shocked she wasn't even top 3.

Didn't realise Tusse was so popular (there was no contest really, was there?), and clearly Eric still has mass appeal.

Not a terrible loss though. There was nothing truly amazing to get behind, so it was Charlotte all the way for me for story purposes as much as anything.

Thank God I didn't get into this before the MF final, otherwise I would have been a very sorry mess last night. Am currently obsessed with the drums kicking back in at the end of the middle eight and the DESPERATE HOWL of the extended, ascending "us"

Maybe listening to the songs AFTER the various finals is the best way to avoid being sick and frightening :disco:

Poor Dotter, I think this was her last chance as a contender.

She's going to be coming back in 2025, singing some power ballad in Swedish and coming last in the Semi-Final a la Shirley Clamp. :(

For sure one I'll be listening to on repeats well after Eurovision season :disco:

I believe all is good for her.

She's got lots of goodwill from from the Swedish public as one of the few competitive true singer-songwriters that also produces the staging side of her performances. Her media coverage has been insanely positive too. As a credible artist Dotter will get many more offers than the likes of Alvaro or random Idol alumni. Let's just hope she doesn't get depressed/burned/dumped out like Danny, Isa and SDF.

One year ago her biggest audiences as a headliner had been for around 50-100 guests. She's now an established artist that shouldn't any problem selling concert tickets nor get into Så Mycket Bättre in the very near future.

Nope!

Johanna Maria Jansson (born 10 June 1987), better known by her stage name Dotter, is a Swedish singer and songwriter...

I think she'll eventually (and probably quite soon) win Melodifestivalen as a songwriter for another artist.

Did this fun little track pass us by? At 2:54 I wonder if she had an eye on another MF entry (for herself or as a writer).

I’ve heard she wasn’t interested in competing herself this year, though she was part of writing entries for others.

This is the first time since 2017 she’s not taken part at all so give her a two year break and she’ll be back stronger!
