Physical is out there now. I really like it. Maybe not QUITE as instantaneous as Don't Start Now but it will do VERY nicely nonetheless.

Physical is SO GOOD, second chorus onwards especially. The disco goods with Don't Start Now and the hot eighties synth stuff with this too.

Break My Heart is also available, and is a more chilled Another One Bites the Dust-inspired groove.

Don´t Start Now is predicted to go top 10 this week in the US :disco:

Good on her for the US top ten. That iconic run of television performances deserved nothing less.

I know she is doing great and Don't Start Now is still doing the business but frankly it is a little outrageous that Physical is only 12 in the midweeks.

Very surprised but pleased this made to the US top ten. I don't love "Physical" quite as much but hoping this turns out to be another successful string of singles for her.

as the Billboard charts go, I expect Physical to be Top 10 come July 2020

physical has hit me. it's like a (good) 2020 flash gordon movie title song.

physical is only(?) at 10 million views on youtube. she really feels bigger than she actually is somehow.

i keep having this nightmare how the next generation will only listen to one-minute songs that have become popular on the back of memes.

looking at the video again, she really is the most casually fabulous pop star around.

and is there a whiff of mystery around her or is she just a bit kylie? i don't think i've ever heard her speak or actually know anything about her apart from albania + hot dad + some recent break-up?

Too soon. I fear she should have waited a bit longer - it had already been put back a fortnight, they may regret not adding another two weeks on top of that. Or not, who knows?

The album isn't out until the start of April, is it? I don't understand why they didn't push Physical back until the end of Feb.

A new mix of Don't Start Now was only released a week or two ago, so it's almost like they are still promoting that.

I mean I guess if the album sells in decent enough numbers, nobody will ultimately care. But it does feel a bit like a great song is being denied its full hit potential, which is a bit of a shame.

I love the laid back and doing just enough, sometimes slightly removed from it all approach to the choreography. I can't remember the last time I watched a pop video so many times, it captures the rush of the song so well.

I know things move more slowly now but it is a little odd, especially for a song that feels it should be big, and is being presented as such. The beginning of April will presumably be too soon for another proper single so I agree another couple of weeks wouldn't have hurt Physical.

Don't Start Now has been out 3 months and peaked already in most of Europe - no point waiting for America before releasing something else.

It's not 2010 anymore, artists can score multiple big hits at once with the right momentum. Physical probably wouldn't be huge in the US anyway so I'd say the timing is just fine - it'll do really well in Europe within a month or so. And then it's the album.

Her website are fuds for wanting £25 for a picture disc when the coloured vinyl is a far fairer £19. Sod the box set, that's a lot of ink and paper for shag all extra tuneage.

They haven't announced the rumoured deluxe yet either. If that isn't happening now I smell re-release shenanigans being planned already. I might go for the coloured vinyl and get an expanded CD down the line.

Don't Start Now has become her longest running Top 10 single. Presumably the ACR kicking in will boot her out soon, though.

They've probably miscalculated when the ACR would bite, hence it being above Physical this week.

Blimey, shows you how daft the charts are right now when that's a thought, dunnit?

Hotter Than Hell is a really excellent song, I had kind of forgotten. Definitely my favourite from the debut (the others being New Rules / Mwah / Genesis / Room For 2 / Be The One). Be The One has such a lovely melancholic vibe which is so wistful and sad but I wish it was a bit better mastered, the vocal is buried a bit deep in the mix somehow.

Anyway Don't Start Now had its biggest (I think) daily streams on global Spotify yesterday. A smash. Some peaks:

02 Australia
06 Austria
02 Belgium
10 Canada
08 Denmark
25 France
10 Germany
01 Ireland
02 Netherlands
03 New Zealand
08 Norway
12 Sweden
07 Switzerland
02 UK
09 US

Some of the peaks might have been higher but its longevity is spectacular.

It's very hard for English language artists to chart high in France due to strict rules about what % of songs played on the radio must be in French. 25 is already a better result than most big pop girls achieve there.

Even Queen Victoria had to re-record her smash hit A Mind Of Its Own to break through the elusive airtight french market :disco:

She is the new SHEENA EASTON - foreign queen of the US charts

Except we don't hate her, she has hits in the UK and many other non Americans have had consistent hits in the US. So not like her at all :)

Don't Stop Now will truly LIVE FOREVER

It goes without saying but :disco: for this most essential version.

Moopy is so confusing these days with all these duplicate threads about Dua Lipa, Bernie Sanders and @Kalabaliken :(
