we created something phenomenal
don't you agree? don't you agree?

Love the simulation we're dreamin' in
don't you agree? don't you agree?

ALL NIGHT
I'LL RIOT WITH YOU
LET'S GET PHYSICAL

come on...
baby KEEP ON DANCING!
LET'S GET PHYSICAL!

this song. my poor weave.

Holy shit that's good.

I thought I was gonna hate it with the over-literal 80s bits, but that CHORUS :disco: Bopping your head is basically impossible.

"Future Nostalgia" is available on Apple Music.

And it's also amazing :disco: and very 80s

It really feels like she's entered an imperial pop star phase where everything is gold. With the last album she went from New Rules to basic old IDGAF, and then there was the mis-step of Swan Song but everything is hitting the spot at the moment.

OH MY GOD

The opening with nods with nods to Gimme Gimme Gimme and Sunglasses At Night needs its own FORUM.

I get that loads of people hate SwanSong but I even think that’s pretty good. She’s literally the only person in the world making what I would call ‘excellent’ pop music at the moment.

Why don’t others see how pop music actually SELLS?? More like this please from more people.

She's really not, but she's the only high profile one.

Can you name some others then cos I want to hear them and put them on my playlists!

I don't mean chill electro-pop or Euro-pop either. Just pure old school pop with big choruses, but not sounding like they should be sung by Carola.

Well when you put it like it...

However loads of young electro artists are making great pop music... I feel the tide has turned in the last couple of years.

I remember how alienated somehow I felt when I listened to her first album. Even now I still feel a little as if I shouldn't be listening to it.

I wonder what has changed, me or the music? Perhaps a bit of both.

She definitely has quite a specific audience but songs as good as New Rules, One Kiss and Don't Start Now really should cross over. There would be something off if they didn't.

But I know what you mean @lolly, I'd like to go and see her in June but I already know I would be very out of place in a way that I wasn't at, say, Charli XCX so it's not just an age thing.

agnes, carly rae jepsen, mabel, ralph, leon, sigrid. alice chater and magdalena bay also have a couple of bangers.

Joe fucking Sugg is an number 3!

That this isn't #1 is basically a personal homophobic BEATING.

The video is fun. Was kinda hoping for jaw dropping choreography though.

The song of remains a STUBBORN 12/10

ah, well then it's over!

:D!

Up to #8 now, still rising steadily. It does seem like a bit of a slow start given the overwhelming positive response so far, but then again it´s not like she´s massively established with a hardcore loon fanbase.

I´m sure it will still be a big solid hit for her in the end, but I really would like to see a number one out of this era!

Animated bits of the video are a bit pants but another absolute banger of a tune.

Not nearly as good as Don't Start Now. Seriously don't get what is there to get so excited about.
