He'd had a very tumultuous life in the last decade or so, some serious drug and drink issues that saw him nearly lose his arm from injecting, and then the recent 'sexual battery' case which apparently was pretty much nailed on due to a positive DNA match. Either suicide or just a general self destructive 'misadventure' based on his inevitable jail time.
