They did it in 2010 and 2011. Hardly enough to draw many meaningful conclusions, but either way we live in a different world now.

People interact on social media and engage with TV events in different ways. There’s an expectation of being able to react in real time, so wherever the winner comes from, I can see more people taking advantage of the ability to vote during the show.

The vocal sounds fine - seems they’ve learned the lesson of last year and there’s plenty of heavy lifting being done elsewhere (good). Moreover it looks amazing.

I'll say this, regardless of how Olly does next week, this is the furthest thing from safe(staging not the song) that the UK have offered up at Eurovision since forever and it elevates song no end
