Intense and Ominous
Despite it being less than 8 hours away it still doesn't feel Eurovisiony to me
Same. I’ll be watching, but I honestly can’t wait for the whole thing to be overDespite it being less than 8 hours away it still doesn't feel Eurovisiony to me
Oh God, I'm not cancelling the joy of qualification season, but it's resulted in very little to show for it.I'm sad this season is almost near an end - it's a solid year of entries (whilst not a brilliant one), but the last couple of months has been an absolute riot. Nothing will top that demented evening a number of us spent watching the entirety of Una Voce per San Marino.
That's because OUR SARAH is coming for the WIN.Well I’m excited!

This seems a completely reasonable way to judge a song contest.
If you run into Sarah Bonnici, I'm sure she will have a tip or two for voting from wherever you wantI’m going to see if I can vote tonight using the UK number in Sweden. I can’t remember whether or not it worked in Italy.
My interest has been piqued slightly over the last couple of days but the contest basically hasn’t existed for me this year. It all just feels overshadowed and completely ruined by toddler fans trying to politicise something we’ve been maintaining for years isn’t political. Plus, so many of the songs broadly fall into ‘Cha Cha Cha’ knock off or ‘Fuego’ knock off territory without being anywhere near as good as the source material.Same. I’ll be watching, but I honestly can’t wait for the whole thing to be over
You could try one of those apps that gives you a local number?I’m going to see if I can vote tonight using the UK number in Sweden. I can’t remember whether or not it worked in Italy.
I think people are trying to cope their best with what is exposure to a lot of trauma and suffering, and inevitably people do that in different ways.It all just feels overshadowed and completely ruined by toddler fans trying to politicise something we’ve been maintaining for years isn’t political.
It's always been a fantasy that it isn't political though. Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Azerbaijan, Armenia, and Israel (and I'm sure others) have all either used Eurovision politically or benefited politically from it. Not to mention the various jury stuff that has gone on for years. Normally it's background noise and doesn't massively affect the outcome, but we just need to look at 2022 to see when politics does.trying to politicise something we’ve been maintaining for years isn’t political.
If there's an SMS option, you UK number should be able to vote even from Nicaragua, provided you use whatever number the BBC asks people to use.I’m going to see if I can vote tonight using the UK number in Sweden. I can’t remember whether or not it worked in Italy.

It’s not my favourite either but I would take it any day over Switzerland or the Netherlands. While Croatia isn't my favourite, I can't deny it absolutely hits and I would love a new nation winning. Hopefully some of the Eastern nations might come back if it's held nearby.

Let’s face it was the high point of the season!I'm really not up on all the entries this year. This is probably partly due to the wider circumstances but also think I haven't fully recovered from the hysteria of the demented Una Voce per San Marino all nighter.
Chez DC we’re already at our second bottle. The child's in bed, the bins are out, and the wine is (nearly) poured.
2024, let's SEAL THE DEAL, I'm ready.
This will be another year when I go into this without having heard (almost) any song.
