Switzerland is one of the most expensive countries in Europe so I think quite a few counties could pull out due to costs - Czechia, Moldova, San Marino, maybe even Albania. Then there is Netherlands on shaky ground and of course Israel.

We’re unlikely to see any returns I think. I’d say it’s likely to be the smallest number of competing countries for some time. Say we had 32 countries - that means only 13 songs in each semi final. What’s the point of having them if only 3 are cut from each semi final?
