Favourite tube station? (1 Viewer)

I am partial to Westminster. Especially when I'm changing from the shitty old District Line to the snazzy speedy Jubilee Line. Also when you come out the right exit and BOOM there's Parliament.

I don't know if I could pick a favourite. There's so much to love about so many of them if you look closely.

Living in STOKE NEWINGTON tubes are but a FANTASY for me. But from what I recall Westminster is FUTURE FABULOUS, and I've always had a soft spot for walking the stairs at Russell Square. Old St. Always FUCKS ME over, if anyone has ever exited by the right exit from there, then I wish them a lifetime of UNHAPPINESS.

Bank is hideous and the station I hate the most.

I was in London a weekend or two ago and was AMAZED by the new Tottenham Court Road station - upstairs it was like being in a totally different part of the city.

Is it a brand new station for the Crossrail?

The crossrail is going to be AWESOME for us in the east getting to west London (currently anything up to 2 hours).

Not quite, it's been caused by Crossrail, but the new bit is a replacement entrance to the Northern Line platforms. The Crossrail entrance will open in a few years near Dean Street in Soho.

Kievskaya station is my favourite metro station in Moscow. The mosaics are incredible.

Well me least favorite is King's Cross, because that is where I was mugged

Seeing as I may never leave here, please extend it to North East Essex. If Reading can get it!

Of course the Glasgow subway is nowhere near as glamorous, but I'm delighted that when we move in a couple of months we're going to be a five minute walk from not one but TWO subway stations :disco:
How thrilling. It does look very special (I have been on it, but regrettably recall very little). Do any of it go to rogue parts of the city?

Oooooh WHICH ONES?

I do recall a station in Glasgow which had a wooden beam WHSmith, which I was quite enamoured by.

Most of the areas served by the stations south of the river are seen as LESS nice, but like a lot of Glasgow it's more down to good and bad STREETS than areas as such.

This is a pretty good video about the subway, I didn't know some of the stuff in it like the former names of stations etc:

Oh yes Geoff, the CELEBRATED trainspotter and the living evidence of why jogging is bad.

I've seen that before. I enjoy how 70s yellow it is.

It reminds me of the THREE HOURS, I sat in the entrance of Charing Cross Station waiting for it to open. A very delightful 70s orange.
