So what TWENTY YEARS Since the fact, does ANYBODY know how or why this song and band came into existence?
The only POSSIBLE explanation I can think of is some LUNATIC GAY in the industry at the time getting it signed off as some sort of PATHETIC HOMAGE to Bananarama's 'Aie A Mwana' :D

The most shocking thing is it actually had SOME BUDGET behind it.
It's shot perfectly well with decent lighting, has a custom set created for the video, and despite the song being FUCK AWFUL and the band having ZERO STAR QUALITY the song itself isn't terribly produced for the time.

What does FLEE FLY FLO even MEAN?

I've always been amazed that the member of Madasun called VICKY BARRETT isn't the one who looks like the spitting image of infamous plank TINA BARRETT, and in fact the BLONDE ONE! The Tina Barrett doppleganger is called VONDA (!)

Don't You Worry SLAPS still though :disco: far better than it deserved to be, and really FAR TOO GOOD to be discussed in this PLOP CRUD of a thread!

Yes Madasun are far too good for this thread. If anybody dares to post and cast aspersions against BENEFIT there will be trouble :D

Kick Angel always used to be on The Box with the DREARIEST lead single of any girlband ever. (SADLY the video is not on YouTube)
HOW was this meant to be a HIT, it sounds like a primary school HYMN you sung in assembly :D

I LIVED for this period when all these NO HOPER girl groups would show up, get a few after-midnight spins on THE BOX and then NEVER BE HEARD FROM AGAIN. :D

Another classic - BIG IN SCOTLAND* SENSATIONS Lemonescent!

*One suspiciously high-selling HMV in Aberdeen

I think Lemonscent used to craftily spend all day in HMV signing CDs only to then get disqualified from the charts!

Made in London were my choice EARLY 00s GIRL BAND WITH NO DISCERNABLE STAR QUALITY.

I remember one of them was REALLY EXTREMELY TALL which made them look a bit BIZARRE in photographs.
Dirty Water was a fair attempt at being the All Saints to Girl Thing's Spice Girls however, imagine the PAIN of it all being immediately over after your second single tanks :D

The second single 'Shut Your Mouth' isn't on youtube, so enjoy this TANTALISING soundalike version instead :D

Somebody somewhere had to sing and record this soundalike version of a flop pop song? How did it come to be SO!

I have the MP3 and their unnecessary and ill judged cover of 'Pull Up To The Pumper' stored away somewhere.

I liked how Fe-M@il were quietly shoved onto CD2 of the Now Music #46 album making it look as it were a legitimate chart hit alongside classics like Vengaboys' Uncle John From Jamaica and Scooch's For Sure. That surely mustn't have come cheap.

The conspiracy CONTINUES!

All I can find online about them is:

This girl band I only heard of when I was a kid because they were on a Smash Hits VHS i had and they came before my favourite songs like Steps etc. The girl band I am talking about was Fe-M@il. Now, these girls are even harder to find then Mero and relying on Youtube comments to tell me all the information I can get. It was released around 2000,apparently the song is from African origons and there was an original song before this and the one song that they were noted for in the UK had lyrics like this (again from youtube)

THRILLING eh

Surely it’s a play on “Fee-fi-fo-fum” with some industry LUNATIC GAY deciding to make it more FRESH ‘N’ FLY by inserting unnecessary Ls.

Deeper Shade Of Blue having to sit alongside that sorry bunch really was UNFAIR

They turned up in the Irish national final for Eurovision in 2001 - or at least, I've always assumed it's the same group?
