Final Fantasy 7 Remake & Rebirth (1 Viewer)

I still don't know how to feel about how it's going really. I'd have loved a direct remake...

I guess it's nice that after people have spent decades looking for one there's clearly now going to be a way to
revive Aerith, or rather, prevent her death
but ehhh I dunno. Sometimes you just have to let sad things be sad, you know? That was the bravery of the original.

I feel the same way I feel about the newer Star Treks and stuff, I like them, but sometimes wish that creators would actually do what the fans have been wanting rather than "a twist on what the fans were wanting"

It’s certainly possible they’ll do that, but I don’t think it’s clear yet.
 
A small update on Rebirth:

I'm expecting the marketing to ramp up by late summer once FFXVI has had a bit of time in the spotlight.
 
Crisis Core got a discount on the PS Store last night so I'm playing it for the first time. The combat isn't nearly as fun as 7 remake but I'm still having a good time. And at least hard mode is available from the start.

I played CC Reunion over the Christmas break. It was fun but the story is ridiculous and the combat was very easily broken to the point where I just repeatedly jumped every enemy.
Worth it if you’re a fan though.

I'm definitely paying attention! To what degree they'll make it 'open world' is what I'm most curious about.

This was a NONSENSE. The story was bat shit and not at all in a good way.

I didn’t care for the first one but this looks good. Hopefully it doesn’t feel as small.
 
There’s still going to be part 3? I assume this ends with that scene?

Urgh, might have to get a PS5. I was rather hoping to wait for a slim version.
 
As the resident furry I reckon I know where they'll draw inspiration for making him look decent on two legs!
 
I reckon they have it covered. We already have a picture of him riding a chocobo.
 
I’ve been playing it for the new story content and you can happily play and not spend anything.
But yes it’s designed to make money off you in any way possible.
 
Such is the evil of mobile, and the evil that the Unity game engine has apparently thrown the entire PC gaming market and its own reputation under the bus over.
