A 10 back then, an 8 now for nostalgic reasons mostly.

Obviously the best thing about it is that Victoria got to do the highest notes which was interesting but made 20 year old Raspberry a very happy gay.

Not good, sorry :( Should have left this sound to people who could pull it off.

No. It's a B-side at best. The best thing I can find to say about this is that it's better than anything the disgusting Atomic Kitten ever did (apart from If You Come To Me, for which I have an unfathomable and unapologetic penchant :disco:)

Victoria’s Aaliyah look was naturally the best thing about the video.

Why was it even double A-side with that sack of shit 'Let Love Lead the Way'? Worst ever.
They should have gone with 'If You WANNA Have Some Fun' to be honest.

I realise that I've been somehow confusing this with hot Spice track 'Headlines' chart-wise and am now horrified to discover that it got to #1 in the UK (as well as major territories such as Portugal and Croatia :disco:)

You can make a very fun 5-track EP out of Forever. Shame the rest of it is boring shit.

However, let me vent about the parent album.

Mel SEA already came clean in her book that she was knackered and on every pill imaginable by the time Forever was being recorded/released so she couldn't be arsed to put in the work and the other 3 I guess knew the campaign was DOA.. I'll always resent this "album" because it's nothing but bottom-shelf Darkchild demos that were probably offered to Brandy and DC first where Beyoncé obviously rolled her eyes at accepting something as basic as Get down with Me; the Jam and Lewis tracks are alright but then again, probably Janet passed them on first.

At least 3 decent singles could have been released from it and they decided to go Love Lead The Way? It's like, the worst SG song ever, even worse than Mama! At least that one had a tune and a memorable, albeit annoying, chorus. The girls' goodwill towards their return after Geru leaving must have been huge in order for that song to have reached #1.

I'm sure I saw someone tormenting themselves here because they didn't take to the new Taylor Swift album. Do what I do! IGNORE ITS EXISTENCE! To be quite honest I find it easy to ignore the work of anyone whose favourite TV programme is FRIENDS :zombie:

I was definitely disappointed when it was released. I’d still rank it dead last in a singles ranketté.

(Headlines? I don’t know her :) )

Oh and I finally gave Forever a good going-over this year. Holler still stands up, I feel warmly towards LLLTW too but more likely because it’s at some emotional nostalgia ground zero than anything else.

But as VoR said, it feels like a varying pack of Darkchild / Jam & Lewis leftovers, which made some sense in 2000 but has aged horribly. Same goes for Vic’s album
