When can we go to the THEATRES and watch this? It looks very REWATCHABLE by the way. Also is that a thing? Like relistenable? Calling @Iguana

I'm seeing this next week :disco:

I don't like Jared Leto much but from the trailer alone if he keeps that Super Mario accent throughout I will be laughing at every sentence he utters.

To be fair if this film cannot do a decent box office with THAT story, its director, its Hollywood heavy-weights and the TRANSCENDENT presence of GAGA and the ensuing MEDIA ONSLAUGHT we've been subjected to for the last two or three weeks, there really is NO HOPE for Hollywood and they should stick to playing with their Spandex GI Joes.

to be fair those aren't making any money atm either :eyes: i don't think any big budget film released this year has broken even... except Free Guy with Ryan Reynolds, randomly enough

More call for the mid-budget Rom Coms then. Here's hoping Marry Me does well

There’s been plenty.

these big budget films have huge marketing budgets too and the studios get around 40% of the box office receipts on average. general rule of thumb is 3.5x the production budget to break even.

insiders for example have said No Time To Die needed to make 900m to break even during its theatrical run.

250m budget
100m marketing (likely more)
=350m
900m box office x.4 = 360m

Gaga is great in this, but the movie bored me to tears. She was the best thing in it, and the rest was just boring men doing business.

I'm happy that it's doing well for her, and that she might win an Oscar. But give us a new album stat, Stefani.
