I believe “Boom Boom” was originally pegged as the lead until Madonna got involved with MATM and Britney wanted to lead with that. It was certainly meant to be a single at some point.

I love it from start to finish. “Touch of My Hand” might be my favorite these days.
 
Just giving this album a listen. Who does the lead vocal on Early Mornin? Because it sure as hell ain't Britney! :D
 
For some reason, when I first got the CD, I couldn't stop playing the album tracks. What a set of bangers! It always came across as a single material catalog rather than a body of work for me.
Brave New Girl, Showdown, Early Mornin WOOF! I also love how everyone who was anyone at the time had a hand in this: The Matrix, The-Dream, Moby ( :D ), Cathy Dennis, Bloodshy, Mark Taylor plus now canceled names P.Diddy and R.Kelly

Boom Boom was such a wasted opportunity, should have been a single. They should have given it to Midtina as a lead:

I'm not sure any song falls off as much as the 2 second distorted "All my people in the crowd, grab a partner take it down" at the beginning of Me Against The Music. I even gay gasped at it in 2025. And the the rest of the song happens :D

Thank Godney for Breathe On Me, Toxic and Everytime. Truly three of the best pop songs of the 2000s.

I’m sure I remember interviews with the Ying Yang twins where they stated they’d been promised it was a single.
3/4 of the album was single-worthy though. Shame they stopped when it all went down around Outrageous.
 
This was the first album I ever illegally downloaded.
 
Phenomenal pop album. Mixes tonnes of styles but hangs together somehow, and it’s actually HER - she sells the shit out of every track and actually seemed to come into her own fully as a popstar.

Shame it all went tits up and by June she’s killing herself in the bath in music videos, cancelling videos, stopping tours and the label rush release an unneeded GH. But it was falling apart for her behind the scenes so it is all fair enough of course, just a shame as the album was fabulous and Boom Boom in August with Breathe On Me in November could’ve really made it an era for the ages :disco:
 
I really expected Breathe On Me to get a release since she did some performances of it
