A peak of 11.5 million watched last nights final. Up 3.6 million on last year.
 
It's good figures for ITV but it does make my heart sink a little. I love that you love it @Rita and it is pretty harmless but I just do not get and never have got IAC. I think it's the famous people angle - it doesn't MEAN anything, same with Strictly. I don't care about any of them enough to bother.

But then I have never really been a massive reality TV junkie. I was obsessed with Big Brother till series 8, and The Apprentice and Drag Race UK/US are the only ones I watch that are still on, and even then I haven't watched those in the past year. But then I'm lucky if I watch an hour of TV a day these days.

But as I said, to each their own. Maybe it's me who's out of the loop. :D
 
So happy Jill won, and her reaction was adorable as she seemed to be in genuine shock.

Oh I don’t know if I am in the loop or out of the loop and couldn’t care less.

I am a reality tv whore.
 
I watched more of this year’s than any other year but didn’t watch the final as couldn’t bear the prospect of watching Hancock win.
 
Yes, it's had a great bounce after last year when you totally could tell people had seriously begun to lose interest. They needed a big year this year or else I think there would have been a question over its future - not immediately, but two consecutive poor years would be a lot harder to come back from.
 
I do shudder somewhat at the thought of the stunt casting they will try to pull next year to sustain this, though... :zombie:

Was it particularly obvious she was to most viewers? I didn't watch all of them and lost interest after Boy George left so I don't know if she mentioned it. I didn't realise at all, I suppose I didn't even wonder.

Still a good thing and I'm delighted she won
 
Obviously I missed THAT rather obvious moment then :D

Well, even better then. She was by far the most likeable of the "favourites"
 
ITV have had a record 71,000 complaints about animal cruelty on the show. Which doesn't surprise me. I hate that I watch the show because the whole animal thing is so against everything I usually believe in.
 
I don't agree with the use of rats, pigeons, snakes, frogs, eels etc
