They asked why I’d protested but also why I’d still turned up to the contest. I said I didn’t agree with Israel being present when they were currently involved in a conflict which I believed was an act of aggression but that Eurovision as an entity and the power of music is something I believe in and I wanted to attend but reserve my right to protest.
