As a child (when she seemed to be a staple of light entertainment shows) I remember thinking she wasn't THAT good. Can't say I'd really given her much thought over the last couple of decades, but looking at that top right photo above, it looks like the similarity faded further as they both aged.

I always found it impressive how she looked absolutely nothing like the Queen, but had the same hair, so we all just went with it
