Probably my favourite song of this century performed by one of my absolute best. A woman at the zenith of her powers, self referencing (and sampling) and basically pissing over the competition from a great height.

Imagine anyone else doing this out of the schlager boilers. Carola wouldn’t have the balls, Nanne and Shirl the track record to make it work.

A 10 doesn’t seem enough. It transcends mere points.

I debated a separate thread for this, but think it can go here. What DID we think of Oscar Anthem now the dust has settled? Of course, nothing on the original, but it was genuinely lovely to see him queening out- both as a child and an adult- on the Lenalove and he'd clearly studied her performances over the years (witness the pre- key change strut).

Also, fairly hard to compare, especially male vs female, but does show just what a fucking incredible vocalist she is. I notice he wimped out of some of the bigger notes...but I'm splitting hairs. I absolutely loved it.
