Despite coming out quite some time after her commercial peak, this is Lisa’s second most-played song on Spotify with 42m streams.

I love it, but I never hear it in the wild so I’m quite surprised it’s apparently so popular.

This song is popular with the gays which is why it might have been given some legs.

This album actually did quite well for a 4th album. The People Hold On remix was a hit, and this did very well too. I think it went top ten? There or thereabouts anyway.

I love this album. It’s way more R&B than any of the predecessors so many won’t have liked the amount of smooth grooves and soul ballads on there. But I don’t think there’s a bad song on there.

It got to #9 but not with an especially lengthy chart run.

Randomly, there's an album track (Baby Come Back) that's also on around 12 million streams. Her cover of Never Ever Gonna Give You Up is also one of her strongest performers (21m). Her other big hits besides the obvious one - Change, This is The Right Time, All Woman, Someday etc are all a fair bit lower.

I often hear this played on Heart 90s.

This is exactly where my mind went to immediately

It's objectively a fine enough song, but I cannot get past the Heart FM mind association. PTSD.

I’ve seen her live twice now. Her greatest hits was a huge hit at the time and it’s understandable - for most people she’s probably one of those “I didn’t realise she had that many great songs I recognise” kind of artists

She had big hits from the soundtracks of The Bodyguard and Four Weddings And A Funeral.

This is REEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLL THING
WHAT YA DO WHAT YA DO
Keep doing it to meeeeeee
