*explodes*

I really hope he's not a twat because he is easily (from the promo photos) one of the most perfectly beautiful men to have ever been cast on the show.

There is something a bit STUBBY about Ronnie's feet. I expected something a bit more athletic appearing from a (semi-professional) footballer.

From the photograph I would have thought he was mid to late 30’s.

Sam looks like a composite AI image of every young, bearded, tattooed male celebrity currently on television.

Every series they manage to find someone with a face that is a decade older than the body (and actual age). Love Island is nothing if not consistent.

Obviously @Rita, I am in for this series :D

I didn't watch All Stars (which I see has just been confirmed for a second series), so the break has been sufficient for it not to feel like overkill for the first time in years.

I don’t mind a man with tattoos but like a lot of the Gen Z era this guys just look unfinished.

I didn’t know that All Stars had been confirmed for a second season. I did quite enjoy it but do much prefer the original series. All Stars didn’t even have Casa Amor!

It's only been announced today. I didn't think the ratings were that great, from what I remember, but they obviously need something to fill the schedule, and I suspect it's easier to generate headlines with known Islanders in a "greatest hits" series. In essence, they can keep All Stars going as a companion for as long as the summer series produces enough Islanders to put back in. However, splitting applicants across two series' each year did, I think, affect the quality.

Isn't he just!

Reminds me of Finn - started puberty at about 10 years old.

I've not exploded yet.

I'm pretty sure I missed a whole series of this. Maybe a celeb one?

Anyway, I've got nothing to watch besides Drag Race, Kissed A Girl and about 70-100 blurays, so thank god I have Love Island back again :disco:

Not sure how keen I am on Joey Essex entering the villa. We shall see…

We'll see, but it does feel like something that will shift the dynamic of the show. OK, he's perhaps not as prominent as he once was. Nonetheless, this isn't a Marcel from Blazin' Squad situation where he'd been off the radar for over a decade. I feel almost certain we'll end up with someone spying the opportunity for a "Joey and X" ITVBe series. Which, let's be honest, ITV will almost certainly have cooked up as a concept.

I’m just a bit FED UP of him turning up on every reality show possible. I do for my sins quite like him although I’m not sure how much of his goofy shtick is put on these days but as you say he is not the big star he once was, and putting him on this is just accepting Love Island is on a slippery slope.

Apparently the producers have said this years show is all about the bombshells so are we assuming the bombshells are all celebs?

I hope not, but the bombshells have been very hit-and-miss the last few years. I think/hope what they've realised is that after the first few weeks, most bombshells don't actually do anything to affect the status quo of the existing relationships. So, maybe they've decided to up the ante.

It’s just when they announced it is all about the bombshells this year and the first bombshell was Joey Essex.

How STUNNING is Maya Jama? I think the boys were more interested in her than any of the other girls present. :D

I do love how Geru basically invented the Love Island opening credits sequence with her Desire video.

Oh, I'm watching now. I don't like this On The Beach song.

They're still messing with the formula? I like them going in and standing forward.

I like the bearded one with the sharpie scribbles all over his arms and torso. Looks better than his above picture anyway. So does Sean sweet guy.

Smamfa looks like 2 invisible hands are squeezing her face.

Whatever Ronnie's hair is - it's ageing him in a way that's far from necessary.
