Love Island (Winter) 2023 (1 Viewer)

I think the main issue is that as much as the producers may try and engineer some juice, having someone like Ron being this years villain when he is tepid at best is what has made this season a DUD. Zara had such promise and her constant biting at Liv would have escalated had she not been voted out so early. Strange, as at the time Zara was clearly edited in a bit light as when the season got in to full flow we all noticed Liv had very little redeeming features and was a spineless bitch.

Exactly. All the personalities are gone.

The issue for me this year has been that the Islanders, on the whole, either have a personality but are inherently unlikeable with it (I think Zara probably got stitched up by the edit, in fairness) or are nice enough but achieve that by being bland. A lot of people have tried to engineer Ron as a 'villain', but I don't think he is. Sure, he was a bit of a dick to Lana at the start and he's certainly aware of how to play the game, but that's about it.

I'd quite like drama-free Kai and Sanam to win. But I think Will and Jessie will walk it.

Going by the last vote I would have thought it would be between Casey and Rosie and Shaq and Tanya.
The still present support towards Tom & Samie baffles me but I guess Tom's footballer "career" and Samie's brief stint as acting like a female empowerment player has done them favours.

Shaq and Tanya going makes sense, especially with Tanya's constant snide comments about Kai/Sanam/Ron hanging out together when she's been part of that majority that's isolated them from the rest of the house and Shaq's whole "better than you" demeanour last episode.

I have noticed a fair bit of love for Kai and Sanam so you never know. Sanam seems nice enough but how she has turned Kai’s fortunes around so much I don’t understand.

I do quite like Sammie to be honest, and feel she does have good morals, and when she was honest with the ginger lad in Casa Amor (his name has escaped me) it made her a lot more likeable to me. I think Tom is a young, good looking lad who will likely stray when he gets shown attention by another attractive young girl when he gets out. He’s really, really dull though. The term young, dumb and full of cum describes him to a tee.

Tanya and Shaq to go tonight please. The way Tanya acted after Casa Amor showed her as the entitled, selfish child that she is.

I think in Sammie's case, unlike the other catty girls, is that she has been swept up by a group that she wants to belong to which unfortunately has led her to come of slightly cold to the "outsiders" (though not as bad as others). But yeah, she was awesome in Casa Amor.

That Tom description is spot-on. :D

Not shocked at Casey and Rosie leaving but SO SHOCKED at Will and Jessie being in the bottom 3. :o

I also think that was probably the worst episode of the season and that really is saying something.

I am glad Will & Jessie were bottom as I don’t think they are a threat to win. I just find Will puts on an act and he’s incredibly grating.

Oh ONE MILLION PERCENT. I really can’t be doing with Will but Jessie is my favourite. They are still favourites with the bookies, with Ron and Lana second favourites. :zombie:

Ugh either of those couples winning would be awful! I’m team Tom & Sammie or Kai & Sanam!

Shaq's sister "we'll talk later" makes me wish the producers could arrange that in this episode.

Same with Kai and Sanam. They're the couple equivalent of maybe 3 or 4 dates without sex. Not buying it.

Jessie's mum is like a hybrid of PCD Carmit, Tina Cousins and Geena Davies.

Well I'm wanting Jessia and Will to win. There are somehow 20 minutes left in this episode, but that's my lot - I'm pretty sure I won't be watching the final.

Yep, they're out the night before the Final.

Also, apparently Will and Casey had an argument and almost got into a fight (offscreen unfortunately :( ) on AfterSun when some of Casey's comments on Jessie got played back and Maya spelt out some of Casey's pot-stirring. :D

Oh good. I found his reaction to, and subsequent depiction of, Jessie's non chat with him was absolutely vile.

Quite a clear cut win although :D at the number of votes Shaq & Tanya got compared to the others 💀

Kai & Sanam = 343,241- 44%
Ron & Lana = 235,996 - 30%
Tom & Samie = 185,572 - 24%
Shaq & Tanya = 19,753 - 2%

Glad Tom and Sam didn't even finish 2nd. They like each other only for the status and how they think they look together. Possibly the phoniest couple I've seen on the show yet.

Can't wait for the new series in a few weeks! 🥴
