Matthew Perry DEAD (1 Viewer)

So, we're ignoring the two headed duck? And Pheobe being replaced by thingmy out of The Office (US)?

Right someone AI a watercolour of Captain Sir Tom holding a duck and The Queen holding a chick.

Particularly loving Captain Tom's hand becoming a six-toed foot

Hannah will have given him clear instructions to seize the crown whilst Queenie's defences are down

If the rest of the cast aren’t careful they will become the next ‘Heartless Queen Liz’.

I do really dislike how people now seem expected to make a public statement of grief in these circumstances, but it does seem odd that none of them have. I assumed it was because some kind of group message or tribute was coming, but these days people expect it NOW.

Are any of them particularly active on social media, given that they are all mid/late 50s I assume, as he was the youngest.

Jen is quite active on instagram since a few years back, but more like a post once every week or two... they can take their time with a statement. Lisa was quite close to him I think, maybe they all need a bit of time to process.

I read earlier that they’ve indicated (via ‘a close source’) that they’ll be making a group statement, hence they’re probably all holding off for that.

I think they are doing something as a group but the speculation as to when and what (as you note) started very early after the news broke.

Yes, I guess it's far easier to post something when the relationship was more casual - I imagine a lot of the ones we have seen (which then make people think even more about the ones we haven't) are from people who never worked with him but admired him, or at least only worked with him relatively briefly. Not for a period of a decade, and sharing a unique bond ever since.

I seem to remember people practically counting the minutes for Cheryl to post something after Sarah Harding died.

Well, the distaste of the DEAD threads here are quite something. Sometimes posted without even knowing exactly who it was :basil:

I felt it distasteful that The Works had his book up on their front desk today.

But @Tisch suggested maybe people were looking for it

I just feel, by all means sell the book but don't make it so OBVIOUS.

I mean he's dead - it's not going to hurt him.

Anyway, I was a little sad about this, then this thread made me feel quite a lot better.

But either way, his battle has been deeply sad for many years now. :(

I must get get my Etch A Sketch out of the loft in time for the next celebrity death.
