After an unusual leak yesterday, Universal has confirmed it's set for release in December.

No word on the title or who is producing, but Boutonnat is out, and it's very likely Sting will appear on a duet.

YES! "Monkey Me" was SUCH a backward step after "Bleu Noir" and I'm so pleased she's ditched Laurent again...

It's been a while since she's had a violent death in a video, and Sting just begs for it. And on that note, Bruno Aveillan (of Dégénération and Si j'avais) is reportedly directing so things on that front should be quite good.
 
Oh my, Mylène, scrap it and duet with Kate Bush on an update of Constellation of the Heart instead. Unless this is actually still something good.
 
To be fair if it's anything like the gorgeous, gorgeous Les Mots, I can get on board with this.

Is it dodgy airbrushing or has she had some very questionable face work, though?
 
Turns out this is a "Slipping Away" affair, not at all what I was expecting and entirely unlike anything she's done before. Somewhat odd choice for a lead single, but the chorus is immense. Produced by French house DJ The Avener.

And fuck me after 25 years of offers RTL is reporting she's signed with Interscope in America and the label is preparing for a larger international push this time around. Who knows that means, she's obviously not going to promote or grant interviews.

The worry about any international push is that she'll try writing some English lyrics- we GENERALLY KNOW HOW THAT WORKS OUT!

Song is good on first listen rather than amazing, but it sounds like it'll be a grower. It's almost ENTIRELY RIDICULOUSLY un-modern, though, if that makes sense. If she wants a hit, then she really should realise the last song that properly did that for her was "Oui Mais Non" because it managed to be both classic Mylene and very much "of the time"...

This topic made me throw "Bleu Noir" on for the first time in a long time and it's still ABSOLUTELY CORKING. I'm so glad she's not gone back to Boutonnat again for this lot- it should hopefully be more interesting.

And yes, "Oui...Mais Non" really was JUST THE TICKET!

It really is, it's already stuck on my head. Although the MHC remixed version of Slipping Away is still quite a bit better.
 
It's quite good, isn't it? I think I might actually SECRETLY LIKE Sting. The stinking shame of it all :evil:

Mind you, her fonts are as DISGUSTING AS EVER. What's WRONG with her? Ah oui oui put ze titre in PÊCHE MON ANGE
 
Love the photo used on new album cover. Font a bit crap as Su Claire would expect a bit shit.

Yeah thank god there's still a major country where you can get a #1 album with about 3000 sales and a croissant

The buzz singles aren't really singles though- they are often quite uncommercial BITS AND BOBS. "Leila" was a buzz single, for example...
