I'm halfway through my FIRST LISTEN PARTY and this album STELLAR so far!

I'm [octophone]gazing lovingly[/octophone] it at as we speak! LOVE my digipak!!The limited edition CD digipak might have cost four quid more than the standard version, but DIEU IN HIMMEL that card is DE LUXE. However, those with a liking for uniformity might not be that taken with the size of it because it's taller than a standard jewel case
*has panic attack and starts screaming*

I'm thinking single number 2!I'm having MY first listen party and 'C'est pas moi' is RIGHT BON
Are there any lovely melancholy Bleu Noir esque ballads?
I don't care what anyone says about the amount of work she's got done.
How much work HAS she had done? This APPEARS to be a recent picture...
By the way I'd say that "Voie Lactee" is very Bleu Noir. Do you agree Su-Cl?
Is that actually Sting in the bobble hat in the 'Stolen Car' video? I thought it was JOHN GRANT!
I love rubbish Myl en Anglais!I think that 'À rebours' is probably a bit closer but so far even that one is no 'N'aie plus d'amertume' for me. In other news, I'm deleted that godawful 'I want you to want me' from my iTunes - "Put on a brand-new SHIRRRRRRRRRRRRRT" indeed :grr: - so now it's a 10-track album :french:

can totally imagine her crying to this so the crowd sing when she can't hit the notes live
Yes having just watched it it's not a great interview. I think Seth Meyers would have been a more comfortable booking for her (and he often has slightly more left field guests so it wouldn't be quite so WTF), but I think Fallon gets the biggest ratings of the late night shows so...
Hmm.. I think the new album is a conscious effort at creating a daughter record born of Bleu Noir and Anamorphosee. And when it works, it's great; but I think that something is missing. It's definitely better than Monkey Me though. Finally had chance to give the album a proper spin the last couple of days and it's revealing itself to be REALLY RATHER GOOD but, sadly, more of the SAME OLD SHIT. I don't see the point of dumping Boutonnat to make an album that sounds EXACTLY the same as if he'd done it. I love "C'est Pas Moi" but that chorus has been done about EIGHT TIMES BEFORE
Seriously, "Monkey Me" seemed such a backward step after the quite leftfield (for her) and brilliant "Bleu Noir" actually did REALLY REALLY WELL and this does seem to just continue in that usual vein...
