Désobéissance. As she's tasked the clip to Bruno Aveillan (Dégénération, Si j'avais..., Stolen Car) I assume it will look amazing and cost a mint.
Rather disconcerting that after six years away from the stage and being 57 she's only going to do ten shows next year. Doesn't exactly bode well for the future... perhaps our Myl is just doing her part to combat climate change hein.
Hmmm I really don't think the Feder tracks are more of same, far from it actually, but they do suffer in not being punctuated by another strong producer, or boasting any obvious hits. This anonymous Leon Deutschmann really is Boutannot 2.0 and a bewildering choice as a collaborator. One hopes she dismisses such an unnecessary bridge to the past on the next album and that it doesn't take three to four years to come to fruition.
Anyway, current favourites include Get Up Girl, Histoire de fesses, and Des Larmes, none of which, predictably, is the next single.
This is being re-released (already!) at the end of Nov with 2 bonus tracks including an extended version of Histoires de Fesses, and a DVD
So saw the gig tonight.
Phenomenal as per. And then the encore. Which was the biggest WTF moment perhaps EVER. I don’t know how to spoiler on the phone but it left the entire crowd bemused, no one clapped and we all just left looking at each other. Visually astonishing but a rousing, crowd pleasing hit it was not.
The Farmer’s conclusion?
What on earth?! HahaNo, but L’Horloge, so as GOOD AS
What the ACTUAL fuck? No, but L’Horloge, so as GOOD AS
I caved in and had a look at the setlist which is rather MOISTENING
However that encore needs to get sorted. Hopefully the crowd response will result in a slight reshuffle by my gig next week ...
It was pretty good- very “hit” heavy, albeit that I could have done with a couple of lesser known bits and bobs, but I guess she has to do CERTAIN songs. Massive at the set list someone swiped which showed “Les Mots” was a last minute removal too. And seemingly part of the main stage bit and not her usual “ballad in the centre with just a piano” section. What could have been...
I can’t think it will. I imagine the “head scratching” angle was intentional. The visuals are a real peak, too, so the show builds to the moment, in fairness.
I also wonder, once the fans know the set list more, if they’ll all give it a big send off as they know it’s the last song.
Forgot to ask, what time does she come on please? And is it quite a calm crowd or rabid gays who'll tear the shirt off your back to catch Mylene's single tear during Rever?
She came on about 9 for us, but a) it was a Saturday, b) she was late (it was listed as being 8) and c) everyone complained about it in the press.
We were golden circle, but not bothered about getting up the front, so it was nice and easy around us. At the front they are VILE. People were leaving the front and coming to the back after the start...
Are you at the show tonight? What the ACTUAL fuck?
Just out of INTEREST, what time did the show end..?
I thought there was some obvious headset miming but generally good live vocals- and she has always been able to sing live, in fairness.
Yes, that whole ballad section was lovely- Innamoramento was gorgeous.
Did you get the same set list as opening night? Have they reinstated “Les Mots” yet?
Same setlist
I loved the ending - assumed it was some sort of full circle message going on, since it was the first song of 'en concert', and with similar imagery at points. Does this mean it's her last tour?
I have little to add other than: I WISH I HAD BOOKED TICKETS TO SEE THIS.
I would have had to have gone alone, but to be honest I'm more than ok with that
Listening to the Live 2019 album and crying to be quite FRANK
