I was just thinking that a singleplayer game in the Splatoon world could be quite fun.

Thank God I only tuned in for the last 10 minutes and fastforwarded through the rest.

Hmmm. Well I'm still playing Splatoon 2 and have well over 2000 hours under my belt with it. Is this a clue that Switch 2 will be 2022 I wonder.

:D

I was thinking they would have done a F2P battle royale. A sequel on the current switch seems highly unnecessary given it's never left the JP top 20 and does still sell modest everywhere else.

I think all I'm taking from that is a reminder to log in to Animal Crossing at some point this year, and that strategy/tactics game.

The only things I'm remotely interested from the whole affair are Famicom Detective Club and that Kemco-budget tactics game.

My youtube on big screen wasn't the sharpest, so SS didn't even look HD. Nevertheless I'm quite pleased about it coming relatively soon.

A bit too many filler products in there, but overall I did enjoy that presentation and will watch again later (fast forwarding of course).

I was really hoping against hope, as USUAL, for a new Silksong trailer (preferably with an "available RIGHT NOW" afterwards), but oh well! Next time :eyes:

So was a Skyward Sword remaster and the Tactics RPG the only things of note? :D

Would it KILL THEM to put Twilight, Wind Walker, Majora and Ocarina on Switch FFS. Digging out my GameCube to play them is NOT the one

They really MAY AS WELL put out the Wii U versions of Wind Waker and Twilight Princess, surely a lot of the work there is already done?

You've unwittingly revealed their CHRISTMAS LINE-UP :disco:

Cos it sure as hell looks like BOTW2 isn't coming this year!

I honestly would have expected WWHD and TPHD as a double deal (the double dip collection of you will) before SS, which could have been put way off, but perhaps they want more people to play that one.

If BOTW2 isn't shown off to high heavens at whatever June presentation we get, then 2021 surely isn't happening. I'd be inclined to say it is and that it will come with the announcement of a revision.

Lots of internet rumblings that Wind Waker and Twilight ARE coming, and will be announced in the next few months.

I must admit, I do find it QUITE STRANGE that the bulk of the Switch excitement and chatter seems to be about archive Zelda titles rather than actual new content :D

Having missed the Wii/WiiU I bought my Switch for Zelda and the many Switch JRPG exclusives, so it's FINE with me - but new titles do seem a bit thin on the ground :eyes:

You do wonder if they have any plan at all really (until they release another ten and they do have a plan after all)

I really wouldn't expect a miracle from Nintendo over the next 2-3 years, certainly when it comes to big (or biggish) budget titles. You know what's coming already. For a company that is so inventive and whimsical in their output they're infuriatingly conservative when it comes to the bottom line - you don't get to be the richest company in Japan by taking risks. A new Switch announcement/revision is more likely in the next year than a full slate of Mario Karts and new IPs.

I'm perfectly content with my Switch being used as a portable device for all sorts of incredible indie games though.
