And in final OLYMPIC NEWS, (and sorry for the name drop- I seem to do this a lot around athletics ), Ireland's flag bearer is Sarah Lavin, the 100m hurdler, and I am overjoyed as I'm friends with her parents who are an absolute JOY. I texted them earlier and they are made up, as you can imagine. Must be a surreal feeling to have a child who is doing something so few get to do.
