Take it or leave it
I'm endlessly fascinated by the unlikely trajectory of Sheena Easton, from somehow having a global #1 with the fairly drecky Morning Train to going toe-to-toe with Prince on this. What a career! And what a banger!
I must say, she really was very good in 42nd Street.Let’s face it, the best thing Sheena Easton ever did was give me my username…

AND The Ballad Of Dorothy ParkerFor those still invested, let's celebrate the fact that the parent album has possibly the best singles run of ALL TIME (if you're a Prince fan)
10 Sign O The Times
10 If I Was Your Girlfriend
10 U Got The Look
08 I Could Never Take The Place Of Your Man
10 Hot Thing
And to think this album also contains "Housequake", "Starship & Coffee", and what many consider to be his best ballad of all time "Adore" (I don't, but it comes close)

I'm tempted to start histrionically calling for a PRINCE FORUM NOW, but really a THREAD will probably doI had no idea we had so many moopy Prince fans. Maybe time for me to dust off a new TOP 100
Purple Rain, Parade and Sign O The Times for me, but I do find 1999 to really just be a load of silly old fun to chuck on any afternoon I likeI constantly flit between Purple Rain, SotT and D&P as my ultimate Prince album. The problem is the man made music that allows new things to be revealed every time you listen to his songs, so it all depends on my mood.
I also find The Love Symbol album to be VERY underrated. It lacks the otherwordly highs of the big albums but for a long album it has surprisingly little filler.
