Noooo! What a fine actor. She was brilliant.

No shade, those 2 roles really were well played and she had very expressive eyes in combination with that husky voice. It almost seems strange that I don't think I've seen her in anything since then.

She was such a natural and believable actress. I don't know why but Irene left such an impression on me for the relatively small time she was actually in Eastenders.

I absolutely LOVED Irene, honestly one of my fave EE characters. Those Spain episodes from 2000 are some of my favourites ever

Her exit was wonderfully done and shows you don't need big stunts for a great exit

this was a brilliant exit scene. acting, writing, directing all gorgeously done. sentimental but just shocking enough.

EastEnders is still a good soap, coming up to its 40th next year and maybe not what it once was but still a great array of characters

It still has a kick about it, more than the other soaps i'd say
