Horrible:
1. that it sounds so serious, and
2. that it also sounds like she was essentially forced to make a statement on social media due to rumours of her being in a hospital, with her underlining privacy in her caption (this kind of sounds like she's potentially getting in there first before a tabloid runs the story)

I had no idea she was friends with Michelle Gayle. I may have scanned the comments for blue ticks. Others were Dan Wootton and the Rebecca swimmer in the "quadrouple" with 3 gays.
 
What a shock. I did think about her the other day but just assumed she was taking a break from show business. So sad. :(
 
Did I hear correctly on BBC News that it is stage 4? I know that it has spread to other parts of her body but didn’t know if that then meant it is at stage 4?
 
Awful news. In this age of such advanced treatment it just seems so unfair and cruel.
 
I can’t see anything online that says it IS stage 4? I thought I heard them say that on the BBC news segment but hopefully misheard.
 
The photo bothers me. I worry that she's heavily filtered it so as not to look as unwell as she really is. Is that a step too far or a reasonable assumption?
 
Does stage 4 mean it has metastasised in 4 separate places in the body?

They haven't said this on their website but any cancer becomes greatly more serious once it becomes migratory.
 
I know very little about GA and their songs but a quick google tells me she has my favourite part in the glorious Promise and is the lady who shouted "Its abaaaaat time" in a great English accent at an awards show. Queen :( I hope she can make a recovery.
 
Checking the definition Stage IV means that the cancer has spread to other organs or parts of the body. So I suppose it is Stage 4. :(

I’m the same :( Girls Aloud will forever be my favourite band and Sarah is such an integral part, bringing so much attitude. She was a bit of a lost soul the past few years but always came across as such a good person deep down. Plus she is so engrained in Moopy lore - her and Nadine are the true Moopy icons. Never forgot the iconic Club Anthem thread which is absolute gold.

Plus she’s around the same age as a lot of our members and it brings that whole mortality thing into question.

I don’t really know what I’m talking about but I just hope she makes a recovery. 2020 has been the worst. At least it seems to have eased the rift between the band.

My friend had stage 4, so it's not always terminal. Absolutely horrifying for her anyway.
 
That Richard X snippet of that song he played in the woods one night was the best solo seconds of the lot. I can't even remember what it was called now.
 
This has been playing on my mind a lot too. Girls Aloud were a huge part of all of our lives on here, and the girls will always be in their twenties to me. I really hope she’s able to beat this.
