Mawnin.

Just realised my annual leave is officially over and I need to sort myself out to be back in the office on Monday. Bum.

Well, I'm home. Jet2 very helpfully changed our flight without telling anyone so we had to do a stopover in STANSTED. I don't know what a Stansted is but the people who got off there all had funny accents so it must be somewhere foreign where they don't have schools.

Also I loudly called someone a fucking idiot because he was trying to go back and forth to his wife's seat to put things in the overhead locker while people were still getting on and were queueing out of the door. He threw daggers at me for the rest of the flight, which made me very happy because I'd clearly put his nose out of joint.

Is it still masks on for the entire flight? While I'm very pro vaccine/testing I can't understand the logic of wearing a mask when I'm surrounded by people who've both been double jabbed and tested by a lab to not be covidy.

A friend has just offered me free tickets to a food festival happening this weekend here, attempting to tempt me with some of the music acts playing, including one named 'Maybe Gaga'.

MAYBE NOT

I’m in Poundbury.

It’s MOST ODD. Now having a drink in Camilla’s pub.

Yeah, it's masks the entire time :(

I want to say it's because the UK's Covid regulations are so strict, but I paid through the nose for two tests and spent ages filling in a passenger locator form and not one person on the UK side so much as mentioned them, let alone asked to see them.

I’m working at a retreat for teenagers right now and everyone here is fully vaccinated and had a negative test yesterday (and young). But it’s still mask mandatory. I think it’s overkill

Oh I've heard some right nonsense from people who've come back :D We really are a joke of a country.

I'm reluctant to confess here just how much commission I've made from moopy steam cleaner sales. Quite a relief after the Molton Brown handwash attempt didn't go quite to plan.

How EXACTLY can a mouse empty an entire BAIT TRAY of pumpkin seeds and not trigger the trap door closing behind it? Do they have WINGS? MAGICAL POWERS? I previously left a hazelnut in there and, come morning, no hazelnut and no mouse

(It did however work on a subsequent occasion :disco:)

@Tisch @Iguana to give mouse advice please

Get a cat
Oh I don’t want to KILL them although admittedly the one I kindly escorted to the local park was probably instantly eaten by rhinos or polar bears or other such animals they have in local parks

That said, I felt less guilty when I realised it looked FERAL rather than cute :)
